Prof. Dr. Petra Bendel is a Professor of Political Science at the Institute for Political Science at FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg. She leads the research on Migration, Displacement, and Integration (MFI). She is a founding member of the FAU Research Center for Human Rights Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU CHREN), where she directs numerous research projects as well as practice-oriented pilot projects on migration-related topics. She is also actively involved in political consulting.

Yasemin Bekyol is a Research Fellow at the FAU Research Center for Human Rights Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU CHREN) in the project “Gesundheit! Inclusion in the Care and Nursing Sector” and a doctoral candidate at the MFI, in which she focuses on “Vulnerability in the European Asylum System.”

Theresa Wagner is a Research Fellow at the FAU Research Center for Human Rights Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU CHREN) in the project “Gesundheit! Inclusion in the Care and Nursing Sector”. Previously, she worked as a Research Associate in the project “Brennglas Corona: Local Integration Work in Times of a Global Pandemic” within the MFI.

Dr. Tobias Weidinger works as a Research Fellow focusing on various migration processes in rural areas and their impacts on housing and labor markets, as well as social cohesion. He is particularly interested in the everyday lives of migrants and their experiences of spatial social exclusion and inclusion.

Stefan Kordel is a Research Fellow and Project Leader, working on socio-geographical issues in the fields of tourism, migration, and social participation. His research utilizes qualitative methods and focuses on rural areas in Europe (Bavaria, hinterlands of the Spanish Mediterranean coast), as well as in Latin America and the Dominican Republic.
